Cathy Detloff is an experienced business professional who enjoyed a successful career in healthcare sales and marketing. She was often touched by the spirit and compassion of patients and those who cared for them, providing beacons of hope when it was most needed. Her idea for Just Because Originals was inspired when several close friends were diagnosed with cancer in the same month. Cathy's lifelong hobby and passion has always been for designing and creating beautiful things. Often that meant designing handmade gifts for friends or sewing beautiful items for her home. With a strong desire to start something on her own, Cathy was motivated to design a company around a charity-inspired mission. So, in 2005, Cathy founded Just Because Originals, a values-based organization with the mission to create beautiful gifts and to give back to our community through the memory and inspiration of others.

Cathy holds a strong belief that giving back to others is the best way to be a positive role model for children. She has gained great satisfaction from volunteer and charity events and continues to energetically devote her time and talent to that focus.
